Purpose Statement

The purpose of Cornerstone's Student Ministries is “to help students develop such passion for Jesus and compassion for others, that they don't graduate from their faith when they graduate from our Student Ministries."

  Student Ministries (grades 6 – 12)

Our Aim is to...

  • Bring students in - we want them to know that they are welcomed to be part of a safe, fun, and friendly environment - regardless of their faith.
  • Build students up - we want them to grow through Biblical discipleship that takes place in the context of loving relationships and small groups.
  • Equip students - we want them show their talents, skills, and gifts, and to learn to use them for God's glory.
  • Send students back out - we want to go into their spheres of influence to share the love of God with them.

Opportunities for students to come together include...

  • Sunday morning worship and classes for middle and high school at 9 & 11 a.m. (No Saturday night classes are offered for students at this time.)
  • Wednesday Night Gathering for middle and high school at 7 p.m.
  • Small groups (groups formed by grade and gender) meeting twice monthly
  • Monthly fun activities for middle and high school - see events calendar for specifics

Opportunities for our students to serve God (passion) and others (compassion)...

  • Student Ministries worship team
  • Student Ministries drama team
  • Student Ministries A/V and Tech team
  • Short-term missions trips (local, national, and overseas)
  • Ministry/Service events in and around the greater-Pittsburgh area
  • Assisting with Cornerstone's food pantry and food bank ministry
  • Volunteering to help with the annual Operation Christmas Child
  • And many more opportunities to come.
